Julie Leonard is an energetic and knowledgeable certified Personal Trainer and Exercise Physiologist. Julie graduated Suma Cum Laude from the University at Buffalo with a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and a Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology. She is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) which is the most regarded certification in the fitness industry. Julie has worked in the health and fitness field for the last 6 years, guiding individuals to achieve their goals and reach their maximum potential. While working on her Bachelor’s degree, Julie swam for the University at Buffalo Women’s Swimming and Diving Team and earned special honors for her work both in the pool and in the classroom. Julie started swimming competitively at the age of 10 and was competitive with the best swimmers in Canada. She participated in the Canadian Olympic Trials in 2000 and the World Trials in 2002. After finishing her competitive swimming career, Julie now challenges herself by participating in triathlons and running events. She recently moved to the Chicago area and founded Personal Indulgence Fitness, a lifelong dream to help guide and motivate others to accomplish their goals and dreams. Julie believes that everybody deserves to live a happy and healthy life. In addition to living an active and healthy lifestyle in Chicago, she enjoys traveling, hiking, and spending time with her husband, Andrew, and their puppy, Bella.
